As a whole time student who works (and blogs..) on the side, I really know how busy choosing an outfit can sometimes get. When you've worn the same outfit for a couple of days in a row and feel like going for the third or the fourth, it get's easily a little too dull. So how to add something special to the every day outfit combos?
1. Belts, scarves and socks. They're really a key when changing a look without changing the basic items. I used to only wear tiny white socks, but then discovered what a change it really makes if one combines a pair of colorful or patterned socks to the basic sneaker or ballerina shoe (&Other Stories has a nice selection of these!).
2. Boots or ballerinas? For me, a good rule of thumb is to match the shoes with the purse. An outfit can easily be made more rock with a chained back and a pair of military boots, or feminine with a small purse and ballerinas.
3. Make-up and hair. It makes a huge difference to the appearance if your hair is up. Take your time making a nice top knot, or play with a different level of make-up than usual.
4. The scent. Most of the women usually wear the same scent, but how about trying something different for a change? I myself enjoy changing between scents dependent on my mood and the time of the year, from floral to musky.
